Donkey & Goat is a small family run winery crafting natural wines since 2004. Proprietor/winemakers Jared & Tracey Brandt are committed to sustainable viticulture and cellar practices. They make their wines with passion and purpose and their wines can be found on the finests restaurant lists around the globe as well on tables and in the cellars of many Bay Area Residents.
Their Tasting Room, located in their working winery in Berkeley, is open Friday - Sunday 1-6 pm and each month they host First Fridays, where they celebrate local makers. Josh Raynolds, writing for Antonio Galloni's Vinous awarded this wine 92pts saying, "Vibrant, sharply focused red berry, floral and Asian spice scents show excellent clarity and pick up a bright mineral element with aeration. Nervy and lithe, offering intense raspberry and blood orange flavors that deepen and become sweeter while maintaining vivacity. Silky tannins provide frame and gentle grip to the finish, which hangs on with strong, minerally tenacity."
